1. Who we are
This website is operated by Brenvato Financial Advisory (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2019/447281/07, registered with the CIPC in Pretoria. Our registered office is at 48 Bree Street, Cape Town 8001, South Africa. For any privacy matter you may contact us at info@brenvato.pro or +27 21 486 7392. We are the responsible party for your personal information as defined under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
2. Information we collect
We collect the information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, telephone number and the details of your enquiry when you complete our contact form or download a guide. Where you become a client, we collect the financial and identity information required to advise you and to meet our legal obligations, including under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act and anti-money-laundering law. We also collect limited technical data through cookies, as described in our Cookie Policy.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, provide our advisory services, meet regulatory and record-keeping obligations, improve this website, and — only where you have consented — to send you relevant updates. We process your information on the lawful bases of contract, legal obligation, our legitimate interests in running the practice, and your consent where applicable.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary: with regulators and the South African Revenue Service where the law requires, with trusted service providers who host our systems or process data under written agreement, and with professional advisers bound by confidentiality. Any provider outside South Africa is required to protect your information to a standard consistent with POPIA.
5. How long we keep it
We retain client records for the periods required by the FAIS Act, tax law and anti-money-laundering law — generally five years after the end of our relationship, and longer where a specific legal obligation applies. Enquiry data from non-clients is kept only as long as needed to deal with your query.
6. Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@brenvato.pro. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse, including secure document sharing and access controls limited to the advisers who need it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be posted on this page.
Questions about your data?
We are happy to explain how we handle your information and to help you exercise any of your rights under POPIA.
